A tip for wrapping work

HOSTAPHAN®!

  • This is a good quality, clear release film, its low adhesion properties make it ideal for wrapping paintings with.
  • Breathable (work can produce a sweat in polythene and bubble wrap)
  • There are two thicknesses, the thinner hostaphan is easier to work with when wrapping.

X We recommend NOT to use bubble wrap when packaging a painting as it can damage work by transfering the bubble marks on to the surface over time.

Thick hostaphan can also be used when painting as paint doesn't stick to it. So a layer of acrylic could be easily eased off forming a sheet of paint.
